Offerings
They offer various training packages in their studios apart from also introducing an online training program during the pandemic, which is still running. Most of their programs include a mix of Boxing & Kickboxing drills, functional fitness moves & mobility training exercises. They offer multiple programs with the most popular ones being their group classes, running for about 60 minutes & claim that they burn almost a 1000 calories in that hour. They also offer Personal training, done both online & offline at their centres. There is no traditional gym equipment at their centres & has instead been replaced with boxing bags, medicine balls, functional training equipment & of course, a boxing ring.
Contact
They have 3 branches in NCR at the moment, spread across various corners of South Delhi. The centre in Greater Kailash 1, the original Boxfit has some parking issues but is connected by the Delhi Metro. The Vasant Vihar centre, located in C Block market is a ten minute walk from the nearest Metro Station & has enough parking available in the lanes around the centre should you want to take your own vehicle. The newly opened Boxfit in Defence Colony is located across the road from the Lajpat Nagar Metro station & has enough parking available around the centre.
Timings
They have sessions at their various centres from 8 - 10 AM & from 5 - 9PM.
Free Trials
They offer free trials for their Mini Group Classes & their regular group classes.
What you need to get started
The provide everything you need to get started at their centres, so you don’t even need to buy a set of gloves. If you’d like though, we recommend buying a set of hand wraps for your boxing sessions since you probably don’t want to share those.
People running the show
Boxfit is run by a young, enthusiastic team of fitness enthusiasts & boxers. They handle everything at the centres & upon visiting the centres, you can tell that they care about fitness more than anything else. Incidentally, they also create & shoot all the content that you see online.
Hygiene & Cleanliness
Even though their centres are now almost 8-10 years old, they’ve been maintained well. The studios are clean, wet areas are functional but hygienic & they sanitise boxing gloves regularly, so you won’t be getting dirty with someones sweat.
Vibe & Community
The community at BoxFit is one of the main draws. Everyone at the centres is always smiling, classes have lots of camaraderie & you’re pretty sure to walk out with some friends after a few classes. Overall the vibe is very positive, very different from regular gyms which sometimes take themselves too seriously.
Lean Timings
The evening group classes get a little hectic, with their online booking system showing sold out classes more often than not. Through the day, the centre is open for personal training & functional fitness for people signed up for training with them.
